2022.01.27 16:43 hodeesi I was skeptical at first but now I’m overwhelmed by the results
I was introduced to law of attraction rather a late time of my life (not that late but it seems like I’m late to the party) and I was desperate for a sign to make me believe I’m still capable of being successful. I wasn’t sure this would work, in fact I thought it was very unlikely. I’m an atheist after all and I thought this kinda stuff is just made up. Oh boy I was wrong.
I’m an industrial designer and my uni life wasn’t so bright, I was never “the” student that everyone looked up to nor a lecturer’s favorite.
I started seeing posts of LoA after I graduated and thought “no harm giving it a try!” even if I wasn’t waiting anything to happen. I used the infamous “I don’t chase, I attract, what belongs to me will simply find me” affirmation first, then 369 method (for just twice but still!).
I won’t say that LoA is magically made me a better designer, that would undermine my very hard work. I think LoA made me look for inspiration for right places, made me inspired more and most importantly, it gave me hope.
Last month I posted a design after months of my inactivity. Let me tell you this, I’ve never been more successful. I’ve been featured in all big pages, award organizations, magazines. I’ve created a design studio with my soul mate. I’ve been reached out for freelance jobs from overseas. Earned my first not-my-currency money from them. I’ve found a full time job. I got a huge raise in my 5th month… there’s nothing left that I want it to happen. I just want this to continue. I’m over the moon.

2022.01.27 16:43 Commander_PonyShep There shouldn't be any stigma against using walkthroughs and guides for video games
I know that video games are meant to be challenges, and you're expected to explore the video game world on your own, as much as humanly possible. But odds are, I could be stuck at a certain point in a game, and there could be some video game guide or walkthrough out there on the internet that could have told me the recommended strategy toward helping me get through that part so that I could actually progress. Strategies like complete certain side-quests in order to level up your characters high enough or collect the strongest gear you can find in that game to add to that power.
But then there's that stigma against looking up guides and walkthroughs because it's "cheating". Like if you're stuck in a game and can't go anywhere, it's all of a sudden automatically a bad thing if a guide gives you any suggestions toward making that game much easier, especially since the in-game hints are either too vague or hidden to the point that I could actually miss them. Like I used to look up guides as a kid and a teenager, because I didn't want to get overly frustrated with these games and eventually quit or break my controller. I just wanted to have fun with these games, and it's not like looking up guides will "ruin" that fun for me the same way it would have for some other people who'd stigmatize against guides, anyway.
Like if you want to use an online guide or walkthrough for a game you're stuck on, you're given every reason to, and no one is going to turn on you for using a guide. You might get permabanned by moderators for using cheats, but since these guides are outside the games, themselves, rather than in them like the cheats, you're as much free to use them as you like. Since there are probably people out there like myself who just want to play video games to have fun and chill, not "git gud" as some people would have suggested, which would have led to more broken controllers and rage quitting, anyway.

2022.01.27 16:43 Arkitakama Mods are like cops. Fuck cops.
The concept was that they were supposed to serve us, keep negative elements under control, and enforce the rules. In practice, they're narcissistic assholes who go on power trips to serve their own egos. A bad cop fucked up (Doreen), and instead of condemning their actions, the force (mod team) gives us a half assed "sowwie" and the bad cop just gets moved somewhere else (looking at YOU, u/fuzzy-X-3 ). You're not our "leaders", you were supposed to perform a specific service and instead only serve your own interests.
Tl;dr All mods are bastards

2022.01.27 16:43 vertram_PL Yakuza kiwami beast mode moves problem
So I bought skills that require you to be hit in resist guard, skills like: Clothesline Bash or Bear Hug. The only problem is that whenever I'm in resist guard and get hit and then try to use one of those moves it just doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
